Widgets

Widgets are customisable elements that can display either text or images that update in realtime. The widgets that are available depend on the type of display, additional modules, on data subscriptions and which additional hardware is installed.

Analogue Clock Video displays only

Display a graphical analogue clock with the current time

Available options:

  • Clock face colour
    This configures the colour of the clock face. It may be transparent.
  • Hour hand colour
    This configures the colour of the clock's hour hand. It may be transparent.
  • Minute hand colour
    This configures the colour of the clock's minute hand. It may be transparent.
  • Second hand colour
    This configures the colour of the clock's second hand. It may be transparent.
  • Hour notch colour
    This configures the colour of the 'hour' notches around the clock face. This may be transparent.

Current Temperature Text and video displays

Display the current temperature from live weather data

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the weather data subscription to use. In most cases there will only be one option.
  • Units
    Celsius
    Fahrenheit
    Kelvin
    This selects what kind of temperature units to use.
  • Precision
    Whole number
    One decimal place
    Two decimal places
    The precision is how many decimal places, if any, should be displayed.
  • Suffix
    No suffix
    Degrees symbol
    Degrees and units
    The temperature can optionally display a degree symbol and the temperature unit (e.g., C or F).
  • Icon (text signs only)
    No icon
    Icon only
    Icon before
    Icon after
    On text based signs, an icon in the selected font can be used to display a graphical shorthand for the local weather.

Date Text and video displays

Display the current date

Available options:

  • Day of Week
    None
    Letter
    Short
    Full
    The day of the week can be included in the display in either letter only (e.g. W), short hand (e.g. Wed), or full format (e.g. Wednesday).
  • Day
    None
    Number
    Number and suffix
    The day of the month can be included in the display as just a number (e.g. 31) or with a suffix (e.g. 31st).
  • Month
    None
    Short
    Long
    The month can be included in the display in either short form (e.g. Sep), or long form (e.g. September).
  • Year
    None
    Short
    Long
    The year can be displayed in short form (e.g. 21), or long form (e.g. 2021).
  • Separator
    Colon
    Period
    Hyphen

    Space
    This is the character that devides the parts of the date that will be displayed.

Event Counter Text and video displays

Display the number of days counting up to or down from a selected date

Available options:

  • Type
    Count up
    Count down
    If the selected date is in the future, count up means the displayed number will be 0 until the date has passed and then will count every day since the selected date. Count down means that a the number of days until the selected date passes is displayed, and then 0.
  • Date
    This is the date that the event counter either counts up from, or counts down until.

Advanced Event Counter Text and video displays

Display a timer counting up/down to a specific date and time

Available options:

  • Type
    Count up days
    Count up hours, minutes
    Count up minutes, seconds
    Count up hours, minutes, seconds
    Count down days
    Count down hours, minutes
    Count down minutes, seconds
    Count down hours, minutes, seconds
    This selects whether the event counter counts up from a date, or down until a date; and how that counter is displayed.
  • Date
    This is the selected date that the advanced event counter counts up from or down to.
  • Time
    This is the selected time on the selected date that the advanced event counter counts up from or down to.

Humidity Text and video displays

Display the current humidity from live weather data

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the weather data subscription to use. In most cases, there will be only one option.
  • Suffix
    No suffix
    Percent
    This selects how the humidity should appear - either as a number only without a suffix (e.g. 50) or with a suffix (e.g. 50%).

Parking Counter Text and video displays

Display the current parking count for a selected parking bay

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the parking data source to be used with this widget. In most cases there will only be one to choose from.
  • Park Count
    A parking data source can store count values for different parking bays. This selects which parking bay in the data source should be used to display.
  • Full count display
    If the count is less than zero, display this text:

Switch Text and video displays

Display text for whether a selected switch is ON or OFF

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the switch data source to be used with this widget. In most cases, only one option will be available.
  • Switch
    Switch data can contain on/off values for multiple switches. This selects which switch value should be used with this widget.
  • On Text
    If the selected switch value is 'ON', this text will appear on the display.
  • Off Text
    If the selected switch value is 'OFF', this text will appear on the display.

Variable Data Text and video displays

Display the value in a selected variable data entry.

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the variable data source to be used with this widget. In most cases, only one option will be available.
  • Entry
    Variable data can contain multiple variable values. This selects which variable value should be displayed.
  • No Data
    maximum 10 characters
    If there is no data available, this text will appear on the display.

Weather Icon Video displays only

Display a weather icon from live weather data

Available options:

  • Source
    This selects the weather data source to be used. In most cases, only one will be available.
  • Colour
    The icon displayed is monochrome, with partially transparent areas. This selects the colour to be used.
